• Be mindful of your tone
• Remember that those you interact with online are people, too. Treat them with the same respect you would offer your classmates in person.
• Using all caps in an online setting is often interpreted as yelling. It's best to avoid this in everyday online communication.
• Different situations call for different communication styles. Emails can be more formal, while online discussions can be more casual (though still respectful).

No, you don't have to take the assessment immediately after purchasing it. You are able to take assessments at any time after you purchase it.

The program formerly known as certifications is now called "Shopify Verified Skills" and is focused on measuring your Shopify product knowledge based on corresponding learning paths. Shopify Academy is evolving to offer you new ways of measuring your skills through curated learning paths and paid assessments.

Your current certifications are still valid. They will expire two years after the date they were earned.

We want to provide more tailored and relevant training based on how you work with Shopify. Instead of Shopify Foundations, which covered a broad range of features at a high level, we're offering three new Shopify Fundamentals pathways that are focused on what different groups need to know and do depending on their role requirements.

Yes, to have an updated version of the receipt emailed to you, contact Shopify Support with the purchase number and the additional details that you want to have added to the receipt. To receive an invoice automatically, use the bulk purchase flow.

The passing score for a Verified Skill badge is listed on the landing page for each assessment.

Credly automatically sends you an email when you pass an assessment or exam so that you can accept your badge.

Verified Skill badges are issued by Credly and can be shared from their platform. For more information, refer to sharing to social media.

In order to maintain security and integrity of the assessments and exams we do not disclose the answers. There is a retake fee listed on the assessment page should you wish to attempt the assessment again.

Automated proctoring is a technology-driven solution used to supervise candidates during online exams or assessments. It uses artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms to monitor test takers. When in use, automated proctoring will capture video and screen recordings.

Shopify Academy uses online proctoring to ensure the integrity and security of the exams to maintain the value to all learners. It also provides the flexibility and accessibility to test from any location, at any time.

You'll need this environment for proctoring to work:

• Take the test in a well-lit area
• Don't change windows or tabs during the test
• Don't use your phone or other electronic devices
• Share your entire screen, video feed, and audio
• Use a maximum of one screen
• Be alone in a quiet environment for the duration of the exam

If the above conditions are not met, your exam may be stopped and/or results invalidated without a refund.
